Exhaust on our ’69 Chevelle is done! We’ve been working on this car for six months. Here’s a little backstory:
Our ’69 Chevelle originally started life as a 307 Malibu Chevelle. We thought about rebuilding the engine, however we felt a 307 isn’t up to par for a Chevelle, so we found a 350 four bolt main engine out of a 1979 Corvette and with the help of a mild cam .030 over pistons, reworked heads, electronic ignition, a Holley carburetor, headers and, of course, a new exhaust we can finally say this car is more deserving of the name Chevelle. With an estimated 350 horsepower, we installed front disc brakes to help it stop as well as it goes. As our intention with this car was to make a cruiser, not a racer, a 700R4 transmission was installed as well as an upgraded A/C system.
